Understanding the challenges faced by international health care professionals is key in giving the necessary help and support. The digital course aims to achieve that by providing insight and information on some of the key issues faced by international health care professionals including: the UK health care system, historical, cultural, and communication challenges faced by non-native speakers. The course also covers a range of colloquial language that health care professionals face when listening and speaking in English, especially when talking to native speakers. The Phrasal Verbs Digital Course is a comprehensive course that goes beyond the boundaries of phrasal verbs. The course covers vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation and the four key skills of English: reading, listening, writing and speaking within a medical context. The materials are engaging and use authentic material including videos, audio and interactive exercises to test your knowledge.

This course is designed for a wide range of medical professionals: Consultants, Doctors, Dentists, Medical Students, Physiotherapists, Nurses, Medical Sales Representatives, Medical Translators, Medical Hospital Administrators and other health care professionals.

Suitable levels: Intermediate+ (B1+) and Upper-intermediate (B2+) Advanced (C1+/C2+) English. See note* below under Minimum requirements.

  • Minimum requirements: 18 years old.

    Intermediate+ (B1+) level of English (note * for students not quite at this level, General English lessons are available before starting the Medical English course).
