“I took her lessons from end of June in 2015 to end of January in 2016, for about 7 months.
Because Dawn was so flexible, she taught me what I wanted or needed to know. For example, how to remember medical terms easier, to use prefix or suffix, how works the NHS, how to do medical interview in English and so on. She sometimes used website to watch medical drama or to listen radio program which talking about medical topics and to read guideline. In England we can read so many guidelines for free.
She has had many experiences as an English teacher, she will understand what foreign students want to say if they use wrong English. If you need any English language skill score, like IELTS, she will also give some advice for you. She is also a nurse, she connects idioms or phrases which native speakers use and medical terms easily, it is so helpful for me. In other language too, medical terms are not used in usual conversation.

“One doctor’s journey to better English.”
“After moving to the UK in June 2019, I could not understand and communicate with anyone due to the different accents. I had a communication problem. I could only understand 20% of what was spoken and could not speak English very well.
In order to work as a doctor in the UK, I had to know advanced English, so I started one-to-one lessons with Dawn in May 2020 and since then she has been nurturing me in English with great patience.
Looking back now, I see that I’ve learned a lot from Dawn : Idioms, Phrasal Verbs, Infinitive and Gerunds, If conditionals, Pronunciation, Tenses, Word Collocations etc. Dawn uses a wide variety of resources : books, films, videos, radio and research papers to help her when she is explaining these topics.
